Courtenay is a mixed media artist with a professional fine art practice since 2017 and nearly two decades of experience as an arts educator since 2006.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education, with a concentration in Drawing and Painting, from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Art Education Association and The Network of Christians in Visual Arts.
In 2018, Courtenay was selected as a Curated American Artist. She held her first solo exhibition, Living Waters, in 2019, followed by Journeys: A Celebration of Mixed Media in 2021. Most recently, she presented her third solo exhibition, Movements, at The Art Institute of Atlanta in 2023. Her upcoming show, Embodiment will be hosted by the Macon Arts Alliance in June, 2026
